About 92 percent of unemployed young people don't have any work  skills in the first place according to ILO ( International Labor Organization )
It states that of the unemployed persons in Kenya, 64 percent are youth and that about 92 percent of these young people have no vocational or professional skills training 1.5 percent have schooled beyond secondary level.

Lack of vocational training is major contributor to joblessness among the youth in Kenya

The Polytechnic colleges which were there ago have collapsed due to poor planning and funding. Others have been taken over by Universities that have converted them into campuses.
Engaging youth into getting skills would make them be productive in the community. This may also reduce temptation to resort to violence.
Ant for this reason, DEEP SPRING BIBLE COLLEGE has introduces YOUTH EMPOWERMENT TRAINING PROGRAM in her studies.

The college offers skills in computer, Business management, printing, tailoring and other courses to enable youths to be self reliant. This will reduce poverty by making them be hard working for the economy of the country to fulfill vision 2030.
